Trust Issues

Be kind to yourself they say
Most of the time I don’t act that way
Wish I could see what they see when they’re looking at me
But I don’t see myself that way

Pretty face, ugly thoughts
Caught up in the things I’m not
All I see are all my flaws
I got trust issues with the voice in my head
Cause it’s telling me lies I can’t seem to forget
Like you’re not enough and you don’t deserve love
And I wish I could make it shut up
I got trust issues but they’re all in my mind
Me to myself is someone I don’t like
With this damage I do and what I put me through
I’m believing in things that aren’t true

With all the self sabotage I’ve done?
Cause I push them away when I want them to stay
