I wrote a song called Throwin' it All Away about [Blind Melon vocalist Shannon Hoon] when I did the Book of Shadows record. It was weird, because I ended up meeting Shannon’s daughter when we were out with Guns N' Roses, when we were doing shows with them. I guess Axl keeps in touch with the family...
