This song is heavily inspired by the book, “1984” by George Orwell with many references to the book being spoken during the guitar solo.
The song has a nu metal mood with the lyrics being spoken similarly to the works of Slipknot and Marilyn Manson.
[Verse 1]
As I rot in this state of mind
Doomed to no life in prison
All due to the act of thinking
[Verse 2]
Big brother wants me mute
Big brother wants me blind
Can you feel my insides shrinking
[Verse 3]
I must break free from enslavement
Ideas are too controversial
Have I been lied to, is two plus two five?
[Verse 4]
As they throw my face to the pavement
Sell my actions as propaganda
Their hypocrisy, I don’t wanna be alive
[Spoken Word]
The further a society drifts from truth
The more it will hate those that speak it
Nothing shall be your own except
The few cubic centimeters inside your skull
If you want a picture of the future
Imagine a boot stamping on a human face, forever
Always remember, big brother is watching
