The world is mine
Look at me
You know it, so do I
The world is mine
Skeletor tries
Fails every time
I don't have to try
The world is mine
Stunned when I see the CCTV
Smart phone shots of someone getting hit by the cops
Why would it happen? Why?
I can't imagine it happening
I can't imagine it happening
Why can't I imagine it?
Look at me
Are you ever gonna be that guy?
The world is mine
Some tonight will have to queue after work for food they can't afford to buy
They must bе of a different kind
The world is minе
"Hmm, that's a nice bike, where'd you get it?"
"That's a nice bike, where'd you get that, please?"
No one ever asks me about where I got my nice bicycle
Is it not a nice bicycle, officer?
Maybe they don't have the time
Or maybe the world is mine
And even I feel agony sometimes
Even I don't always know the glow of interpersonal unity
Although you don't need to see me in a suit and tie
To know the world is mine
Everyone doing what they have to do and I want my beer cold
For God's sake
What can it take?
I'm a cold beer kind of guy
And the world is mine
Though I like a nice white wine sometimes
And I even tip the staff if I'm feeling kind
I have everything I need, you see, yeah, everything except
I don't have an answer for this problem yet
And meanwhile people are dying
Human life trying to snatch its own bowl out of its own hands
A stranger to itself painted in crime
And the doors are toothless howls in the house that calls our souls to time
And we all queue gently now and we're not blind, but we try
And I can say my poem to my friends and we can even cry about it, we can even cry
Meanwhile, none deny
With a sugar somehow sour
And a line of broken fingers crossed in pointing at a broken tower
Gone ashen black
Untold numbers still up there now
Whose remains claim the heavens
And paint their names into the sunshine
That's trying to fall on flowers
While the loss is all of ours
The world is mine
