About

This is my interpretation of how I would have rapped in the Gothic/Romantic period of American literature. This song, inspired by the work and persona of Lord Byron, is about accepting your role as the flawed hero and championing that cause

The Way I Do “Freestyle” (Byron) Lyrics

Live from the other side of breaking through
These, voices in my head said to make my move
I bite more than I can maybe chew, that’s just the way I do
Tryna walk before I crawl, this is deja vu of ‘82
Gotta change my view, my optics are myopic
I got this bionic cycloptic third eyesocket
Byronic hero, weirdo and divine prophet
Light chronic makes me skyrocket, watch me ride comets
To be quite honest I barely make a slight profit
But this tradition is tight honest so I’m on it
Make sure my hearse comes equipped with hydraulics
So I can lowride that bitch through the pearly gates while Christ watch it
My to-do list is whatever the fuck, I want
And if I want it I just put it in my mind and grind toward it
On the run from the law with five warrants
Five in the morning, I’m soaring while y’all are inside snoring
I have provided some delight offers
But failure is alien, ain’t inside of my orbit
These thoughts are ghost-written, my mind’s haunted
White Walking through the land of the living is quite awkward
I, watch the stress pile, it’s tensile between father time and mother nature
I’m stuck in the middle like a stepchild
Keep my grass cut so I can spot the reptiles
And stay away from biters, I ain’t tryna catch that West Nile
Y’all belong in exile for the dead sound, I dare you to get wild
I’ll projectile vomit on your best style
I lap these rappers, I’m already on my next mile
Ready to leave my life essence embedded in the textiles
And we march forcefully against them street sharks, preaching a beast mark audibly
There are demons in that deep dark part in me
And angels in my heart they sing a three part harmony
I learned a great deal from my dealings with the lucid
But, getting used got me feeling like I’m useless
The strange love got me reeling like I’m pouring
Steering through the bullshit that’s what you hearing in the music
I made it through the bitter storms of ice rain
Frostbite and everything in my life, with its white fangs
I’m a Mac truck in maximum overdrive in the bike lane
All I see is red I never waited till the light change
Quite strange, I am close to my final breath
I’m not in my right brain, everything in my mind is left
I’m lost inside my head I have plans to try and find my edge
I’m a mess playing Simon says in a spider web
I have read through her aura and it’s confusing
But I have gained an understanding of the shit we’re losing
Valedictorian of a disillusioned institution
Silly human, tryna build a movement with a missing blueprint
Quick draw artist that spits more hard shit
To hit all targets in this piss-poor market
Look at the shit y’all started saying it’s pure garbage
I’m a bit more guarded since this war started
I been agnostic, misanthropic and a bit obnoxious
But those are just products of my bitter logic
There are so many plans that exist within my conscience that I’m on auto-pilot even if I’m sitting in the cockpit
Twisting chronic, a blunt or something proper
Spent my last hundred dollars puffing ganja to adjust my chakras
Just a shocker we juggernaut whoever comes to stop us
I say I do it my way, fuck Sinatra
