I’m barely surviving
I’m barely afloat
Through forests I’m fighting
As I walk this road

That can quench your thirst
It’s at the top of the Mountain
Where the pain is perched
And the base is pretty crowded
Cause that page is first
But the higher that you climb
The more the crowd disperses
Cause the higher that you go
The more the pain gets worse
And you’re thinking in your mind
Wondering if it’s worth it
You say you want the prize
But don’t wanna put work in
You wanna feel the high
But don’t wanna feel the hurting

I apologize, but that doesn’t exist
So you cry and you yell
As you’re waving your fist
At the sky in your anger

Not the pain that it takes
To escape the abyss
But it’s pain that does make
The Light shine like this
Takes the rain and the sun
To grow a tree this thick

There’s stages and parts
Phases like the moon
The dawn is always after
The night like snooze
And the day proceeds
But night comes back through
How one page starts
The same one ends soon
Some pages are hard
And some are written on loose
One page breaks the heart
While another makes it bloom
Some chapters are long
But they’re filled with they’re Truth
Heavenly ever after
Is the ending when you

Don’t lose hope in a moment
Don’t lose hope when you’re broken
But get up, keep going
Keep walking even when

The Walk is a path of great pain
The narrow gate
Is through the crucifixion
With your own name
Where you gotta die
To your old ways
Who you were before
So you can make your way
Back To Who You Are
But what that means
Is facing your scars
Overcoming the dark
That has grown in your heart
Ripping out the roots
Many layers and parts
But this is the Walk
The only way to God
It’s carrying your cross
All the way to the top
Make sure you count the cost
So you can finish the job
Cause carrying its a part
But it’s not the whole sum
You might stumble and fall
But keep walking to Golgotha
Cause the jobs not done
Til you die with the Son
And if you never give up
Then you will overcome
And even when death comes
You will rise above
