“The Sound Of War” is divided into two parts. The first paints a picture of what it’s like to be just another soul subjected to displacement/abandoning their homes because of war. The third and fifth verses are very reminiscent to the ongoing genocide/ethnic cleansing of Gaza by the apartheid state....
[Verse 1]
Leave all the silverware
'Cause you won’t need it where
You are going tonight
[Verse 2]
Dust on the china
The spiders take over
Without your gracious hands
Chaos remains
The clock the sole reminder
[Verse 3]
Leave this ghost town
Before they burn it down
Before they take the crown
Before you hear the sound
The buzzing of the drone
[Verse 4]
Verdict unanimous
Dawn will turn to dust
And the snow falls down
Your footsteps on the ground
Are lost in the silence
[Verse 5]
We will no longer fear
Sirens and despair
Our songs live on
In the era of stone
A red blinking Zion
[Verse 6]
Leave all that you were
'Cause you won’t need it where
You are going tonight
[Instrumental Interlude]
[Outro]
We will no longer fear
Sirens and despair
