The Promise

i decided that day i wanted to become a lot more like the sky i wanted to expand and learn how to comfort myself. i decided that when that day came i will feel alive again and my happiness will be light blue like the sky. because the blue that i felt then was dark and nothing like the morning sky. i promised to myself that there would come a time where i won’t know that person on the porch but i will understand. and when the time comes i will extend my hand to her. because i have been there. but by that time i won’t be going back.
