The b-side to the band’s single ‘Processed Beats’, it features an abrasive, punk-leaning sound and features Serge Pizzorno on lead vocals. It was often part of the band’s setlist in 2004 in 2005 and is one of two songs where Tom Meighan often played guitar, the other being ‘Test Transmission’.
[Verse 1 - Serge (Tom)]
Sweet smell of the morning
Light the fires
You corner dogs
I saw the magic
I saw the fool
(I feel sick, cause I get my kicks)
This ones for the workers
For his pay for his face
Did that for the one
The simplest lies
[Chorus - Serge]
Take care my friends
Run my life for this magician
[Verse 2 - Serge (Tom)]
Sweet smell of the morning
Light the fires
You corner dogs
(You corner dogs)
I see the magic
I see the fool
The Nightworkers
They never know
They never know
They never know I'm here
[Chorus - Serge]
Take care my friends
Live my life for the big magician
[Bridge - Serge]
I won't stop
I want some mercy
I don't wanna stop
I want some more, I said
I don't wanna stop
I want some more, I said
I don't wanna stop
I want some mercy
[Outro - Serge]
I won't stop
I want some mercy
I don't wanna stop
I want some more, I said
I won't stop
I want some, I said
I don't wanna stop
I want some, I said
I won't stop
I want some mercy
I don't wanna stop
I want some, I say
I don't wanna stop
I don't wanna stop
Stop, stop, stop, stop, aaaay!
