The Night Draws Near

These waters are laid to rest
And the wind's attempt to breathe life fails
Their gentle hollow sounds
Are drifting in the air
Echoing from afar
Signaling that the night is drawing near
Burying the daylight
Behind the horizon
We are masking ourselves
In the safety of the night
