The album ‘A Message From the Moon’ opens with the reflective and thought-provoking track “A Message.” Through the clever use of moon and sun metaphors, Tsumyoki profoundly reflects on the dynamics of recognition and appreciation. As the moon receives adoration for its luminosity, shining bright eve...
Everybody looks at the moon in the darkness
The stars feel inferior to it, and the people watch the moon
"Beautifully look at how the moon is shining," they say
"The moon shines bright, and the people below it, I know."
It shines even though there's darkness all around it
The moon is beautiful to the people, but the moon just takes the credit, shining in its stolen light
The people don't realize that the moon only shines because of the sun
The sun's rays bounce off the moon and make it beautiful
When the moon falls and the sun awakens, the people don't stare at the sun, even though they use the sun's light
The sun feels unappreciated and doesn't feel like it's doing enough, even though the sun makes everything brighter and helps the people go by their day
The people don't say thank you, but the moon appreciates the sun and only shines because of the sun, takes all the credit
And the people don't know that the moon only shines because of the sun
The moon is grateful for everything the sun is doing for it
It loves the sun unconditionally, and if the sun is taken away, the moon won't shine
So, the sun hears the moon's message and decides to shine better than ever
The sun realizes that it is beautiful and perfect, and because the sun shines brighter, so does the moon
The sun may not be appreciated even though it gives so much, but the moon knows how beautiful the sun is
And the moon will keep giving love to the sun, making it shine brighter and brighter, even when the world is cruel to it
Because the moon is nothing without the sun
This is the message from the moon: "Thank you."
