Where you've been
Everybody's standing
And where you go
Everybody's been here once before

I bury to blanket you with spit-fire
When I wake, I wake in the flood of your name
More time for the people around me
For the world, I'm confound, but no more

As the lips part and come back together
As the heart, for a time as it beats
I see what you are not, and I am grateful
To know the woman you've been

It's nothing I've later wasted
I suppose it's all I've ever found
It's so damn silly to that we're existing
