The Great Shining Light

Oh come hear my story it will brighten your way
On love's weary travel oh hear whet I say
Last night I was dreaming when an angel obliged
Came to me in a vision of a great shining light

Then the angel spoke softly as the great light did shine
Go tell all the people that now is the time
To all peace and be happy there shall be no night
If you live true and be faithful in the great shining light

In my dream then I travelled a rough stoney road
'T Was the way to perdition and happy my Lord
When a sweet voice spoke softly take a turn to the right
You'll find it more cheerful in the great shining light

I woke from my dreaming and started to pray
Thou will now shall guide me on lost rugged way
I'll tell all the people of the truth and [?]
