The Ghosts Keep Calling Me to Hell

I keep running from myself
The ghosts keep calling me to hell
Anger builds inside my cells
Call for backup but no one helps

The words I mumble disconnect
The thoughts I feel, make their way to my chest
Paint peels off of my walls I’m a mess
Ugly on the outside and I’m ugly all the rest

Nothing comes easy
You ripped me to pieces
The lake of my cranium
Head’s eaten by leaches

Nothing is working
My stomach is turning
The flames stopped burning
The spark has run out

I can’t find the words to tell u what’s in my head
Jumbled up sentences and tangled up threads
My heart’s in a knot the longer the process, I’ve lost what I got

I can’t look for heaven when I’m lost in the dark
The energy inside my core will soon break apart
I throw away all my ambitions, let em off and depart
Release emotions into art, this is only the start

Take a break to relieve
Set my head down and breathe
Happiness that I’m seeking will never be seen

Obelisk of my dreams
Guide me to my peace
Sticks and stones might break me I’ve always been weak
