In “The Buffalo”, the person being sang about is starting to become a toxic force on the narrator’s life and the narrator is trying to get out of that toxic relationship. The narrator ends up telling this person how they’re a bad influence and wants them to leave.
Crustacean, all along the back right stall
Please encase him in case he gulps down too much (oh shit)
Trapped inside, I ask him one last question
Where are all the, where are all the buffalo?
His reply, informative, he's miserable
Help me, let me, help me, let me out
(Crawl out, crawl out, crawl out, crawl out)
That's right, my friends, you must crawl out
Into the halls and out the mouth of this beast
(Crawl out, crawl out, crawl out, crawl out)
I hope you see the end is near
I hope you see the end, it's so near
(Crawl out, crawl out, crawl out, crawl out)
Where are all the buffalo? Surreal enormous buffalo
(Where are all the, where are all the buffalo?)
Where are all the, where are all the buffalo?
Where are all the, where are all the buffalo?
Where are all the, where are all the buffalo?
(Where are all the, where are all the buffalo?)
Crawl out, crawl out, crawl out, crawl out
Crawl out, crawl out, crawl out, crawl out
Crawl out, crawl out, crawl out, crawl out
Where are all the, where are all the buffalo?
Don't you know, you're tearing me apart
Yeah, my insides with your antique brand of clumsiness
The halls, they reek of your scent
Oh, please crawl out
And tell me where have all your buffalo gone
