Probably, I don't know, not that many. I mean, there's probably been ten or twelve.

Because V-3's lasted quite a while. We've probably been around longer than anybody in Columbus right now, so.

[Interviewer]
Okay. Now I read up on Vertical Slit.

[Jim]
Yeah.

[Interviewer]
You've been involved in the Southern Operation [?]. We'll get to that. How did the – I read about how you basically decided Florida wasn't where it was happening. You had to go somewhere else, so you went north to Columbus. What made you go to Columbus, actually? It's a college town, was that –

[Jim]
Well, it wasn't really a – I had a friеnd that I grew up with in Florida, and he actually met this blondе on the beach in Florida, and I guess he fell in with her, and she said, "well, I'm from Columbus, Ohio, and I have to go back home now," so, we talked, and we just talked about getting out of Florida, and I mentioned Vermont. We were almost ready to go to Vermont, but then he met this girl, and we ended up just coming to Columbus. And we never wanted to leave since I got here, you know.

[Interviewer]
It was a faithful meeting on the beach, basically. We talked about that.

[Jim]
Yeah, he met this girl.

[Interviewer]
Good reason.

[Jim]
Yeah, and I don't know if the Pop Watch thing covered it, but in about, I don't know, I want to say '74, '75, I had a motorcycle accident.

[Interviewer]
That's it.

[Jim]
Yeah, my father got like $500 for the motorcycle, looks like it got totaled, and he said, "what do you want to do with the money?" And I said, "give me a reel-to-reel deck, microphone," and I was laying in bed, pretty much in a body cast. That's pretty much when I started overdubbing and writing my own material and stuff.
