How did the song come together?
I got the idea for this song while I was on tour in Paris. My boy Brandon Phillips sent me the beat, and I recorded the song in my hotel room. Once I recorded the first line I knew this song was going to be something special.
What is the inspiration behind this track?
The inspiration stems from the dozens of petty things that have happened to me over the past year and a half, including my car being broken into and having everything I owned stolen. What was the process of making the song like?
The process was different this time while making the song. I had to mix and record it all while on the road in Europe, and I’d get an edit of the mix and would have to send notes back and forth until it was right. It was much more difficult than being in the studio and able to do it in person but I...
