[VERSE]
What a waste Life to be known to play around
Nothing lasts forever every second Make it count
Daily pain like a sacrificial ritual
A hole within my leg I can see my bone
They’ve taken all my muscle you can see a dent
Killed off many nerves my leg is on fire
Paralysis cannot move my foot
Prisoner within my home social introvert
Flashbacks at Northwick Park
The only one in my intensive care unit
With an open wound as big as mine they feared disease
Hourly injections penicillin in my veins
3 out of 7 operations were a pain
Junior doctors made mistakes their errors caused bleeding
Complained the Matron she couldn’t believe it
The fears of amputation grew ever so present
4 operations in, feeling faint
Mother notes the nurses that my skins very pale
They decided I was fine
Went through operation 5
Losing consciousness even more frequent
Mother enforces her knowledge
Conversations with the Matron
Decided the only option was a blood transfusion
7 operations body took the strain
4 packs of blood inserted in my veins
At the very instance, body turned cold
Depression filled my soul, tears began to fall
Suicide a mere thought that eventually blossomed
Lost my appetite and my passion for Christ
Uncle prince came to visit with a testimony
Tears formed couldn’t believe my ears
But it made sense I always wondered how he lost his eye
Distance made my heart more intelligent
By design, I’m a resilient son of a gun
But no training could’ve prepared me for what had come
April 5th the date forever scared within my heart
I doubt if Anne ever understood
What I was going through
Didn’t articulate
My pride was broken down
She saw me cry and I lied
Still, I’m feeling down
Down but up before the 3
Comeback seasons here
Pose infront of autumn trees
