About

Frankie Stew and Harvey Gunn reflect on the effects of lockdown in “Tears on my Window.” The duo join forces with Eleni Drake, who offers a soulful backdrop to Frankie’s paced observations of the world around him following the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Tears on my Window Lyrics

[Intro: Eleni Drake]
Where have you been?
Babe, stay with me

[Verse 1: Frankie Stew & Eleni Drake]
Plans are gone (Where have you been?)
I don't make the biggest ones
I make the saddest songs (Babe, stay with me)
Fuck it, let's have it off
Everything I had I lost, but imagine what
I could stay here, stand and watch (Where have you been?)
But it wouldn't do much for me would it?
Lads, I'm gone (Babe, stay with me)
I can't stay here
I can't sit around and play here I don't rate here
I wanna go higher and leave this place (Where have you been?)
When we're allowed out
I hope I can see the stage (Babe, stay with me)
Not as much as I wish I could see your face
See that, is a piece of cake
I don't know if you can
But I see no change (Where have you been?)
I see an old railway, but see no trains (Babe, stay with me)
I don't know if anyone could lead this way
Every day I do things to escape

[Chorus: Frankie Stew & Eleni Drake]
And I don't know how I feel (Where have you been?)
I can't tell if it's fake or real (Babe, stay with me)
I wish that I could just be still
I wish that I could just be healed
Help me out (Where have you been?)
Yeah for real
You don't know what's the deal (Babe, stay with me)
Rains so much outside it looks like
Tears on my windowsill

[Verse 2: Frankie Stew & Eleni Drake]
So I rolled it up (Where have you been?)
And every time I learnt things here I soaked it up (Babe, stay with me)
My oldest friends, the closest one
Sometimes I think I owe you stuff
I don't know my cuz
Just know that it's love (Where have you been?)
Everything goes to dust
Either that or above
I don't know what it does (Babe, stay with me)
I don't know if it's god
More time I feel lost
I don't know where I'm from
I don't know how I got here I know I'll be gone (Where have you been?)
It's a lot to take in like the moon and the sun
I don't know what you think (Babe, stay with me)
But I know what you done
And i don't know about you look at what I become (Where have you been?)
But it's deeper than discussion
Goes to Ps house play the album to his cousin (Babe, stay with me)
That's something that I still do when I'm 100
Somethings you shouldn't stop doing if you love em

[Bridge: Eleni Drake]
Where have you been?
Babe, stay with me

[Chorus: Frankie Stew & Eleni Drake]
And I don't know how I feel (Where have you been?)
I can't tell if it's fake or real (Babe, stay with me)
I wish that I could just be still
I wish that I could just be healed
Help me out (Where have you been?)
Yeah for real
You don't know what's the deal (Babe, stay with me)
Rains so much outside it looks like
Tears on my windowsill

[Outro: Eleni Drake]
Where have you been?
Babe, stay with me
