[Chorus]
It never take so long
It never take
It never take
It never take so long
It never take
It never take so long
[Verse 1]
Walked myself into the black woods
Everything's too dark in this light
Need some shade to obscure the tar ball
Leaves to weave an unending night
Black tar bubbled right out of my mouth
Made a road wherever I'd gone
Highrise franchise all to my surprise
Paved the way they had come
[Pre-Chorus]
I wait
Pacing at the gate
With one
Coin under my tongue
[Chorus]
It never take so long
It never take
It never take
It never take so long
It never take
It never take so long
[Verse 2]
I'm a moth, you are a porchlight
Head smashed in against your glow
Left my dust to tarnish the outside
Sighed, said it'd suffice and go
If I knew the rock would not reach the top
I would want to be a useless machine
But even then I'm still one of them
A thought to box; a long walk
[Pre-Chorus]
Aw gee, what've you done with me
I chose a path of three
[Chorus]
It never take so long
It never take
It never take
It never take so long
It never take
It never take
It never take so long
It never take
It never take
It never take so long
It never take
It never take so long
[Instrumental Outro]
Tar Tongue was written by Vundabar.
Tar Tongue was produced by KC Abrams.
Vundabar released Tar Tongue on Fri Feb 23 2018.
Tar Tongue follows a character whose mouth leaks tar. As the character walks into deep woods with the intent of self preservation/avoidance his tar trail inadvertently creates a road. A mall and high-rise is developed on that road shortly thereafter.
