{intro}
It was a terrible, terrible sight
Yes I think I saw it one night
It was standing by the lakeside in the moonlight
Oh it gave me such an awful fright
And it was covered in slime
And yes I think I saw it one night by the lakeside
{Verse}
This is a story about a girl from the swamp
And I’m telling you now so the morals not lost
Out exploring the forest when her wires got crossed
An invisible force pulling her into the moss
Stepping into the mud at the edge of the pond
Dipping in ten toes had a chat with the frogs
As the folklore goes she was last seen peering through the fronds no clothes but a green skin tone
Had her mother and her father up waiting by the phone and they stared into the water cause they just couldn’t cope with the thought of their daughter at the bottom took a boat and they floated there for days but it wasn’t their fault
And one day she came home and her little brother said he was the only one who noticed the change and now and again she transforms out playin in the mud for fun
So we set the alarm for seven arriving alive and present hand on the mic accepting all of my calls
Hi there you’ve reached 1 800 hold up what these ain't free tolls
Stuck on me like a leech when I came out of the pond
And I got webbed feet from my time in the swamp
Now I gotta keep the heat at 101 so when the water runs cold yeah you know I’m gonna run
Sounds fun
Yeah doesn’t it
Drink up
I meant hydrated
Pit stop
Catch a fly maybe
This mud enlivening
Took a hint got a clue so I’m piping in big mystery solved so I’m diving if you can’t swim might throw you a life ring but you’re better off to just make friends with the
{Chorus}
Swamp monster big boss
She sharpens her claws
It widens its jaw
Thing over six feet tall
Cut the lights just to get a glimpse of a beast in the night only evidence the remnants
Of the ones who doubted the myth
Muckin around till they all fell into the
Big boss she sharpens her claws it widens it’s jaw
At midnight in the fog
Out at night I can hear her sing every word disturbed heat stifling the best thing imagining the mud bath quicksand neck deep big grin
