[Verse 1]
Strange, this wilderness inside
The heart drifts from hot to cold
You think it can't make up its mind
And suddenly it's always known
Suddenly it's always known
[Chorus]
And if I could reach the northern lights
Maybe then I'd understand it all
Sometimes I try so hard to fight
When all I want to do is fall
Into the night
Into your arms
Surrender
Ooh-ooh
[Verse 2]
Delays on the District Line
Looking at pictures on my phone
And I said I didn't miss you, but I lied, mm
Told myself I let you go
Told myself I let you go
[Chorus]
And if I could reach the northern lights
Maybe then I'd understand it all
Sometimes I try so hard to fight
When all I want to do is fall
Into the night
Into your arms
Surrendеr
[Bridge]
Ooh-ooh, ooh
Surrender
Ooh-ooh, ooh
Surrendеr
Ooh-ooh, ooh
[Chorus]
And if I could reach the northern lights
Maybe then I'd understand it all
Sometimes I try so hard to fight
When all I want to do is fall
Into the night
Into your arms
Surrender
[Outro]
Into the night
Into your arms
Surrender
Ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh, ooh

I wrote it in Nashville two years ago with the wonderful @Tronian and @thesilverseas, it was a beautiful summer and the...
A lot of these songs are about conflict and fate. Have I made the right decision? Is this all for a reason? This record sounds different to what I’ve done before, and sticking to my guns was quite hard. So the song is also about the struggles of making those decisions by myself.
