I wake up already down
I’ve been mostly merely sitting around
I’ve been bothered by what’s been going down
On my street my neighborhood my town

Sometimes I just don’t know what to say
But I’m hoping for a sunny day

We tell ourselves we’re brave and free
But I don’t know that that’s the truth honestly
There’s so much more to do for equality
But we’re not trying hard enough are we?
