“Studly” is a re-purposed poem from VITO’s father, who passed away unexpectedly when VITO was 16. The poem was something his dad had written for his mom when they were both at the young age of 15, which he found in a scrapbook in his attic.
Now he's headed for a heart all closed up
While she's staring at a sky full of distrust
Sharing secrets while keeping their heads strong
Always reminded that love recreates bonds
Now she's starring at the sky and wonders why
Why the stars would not guide her to your side
If I could show you the pages of my heart
You might realize they're torn from the inside
Don't tell me where I'm at and what I have is how it's supposed to be
Show me how to run and leave the past where it's supposed to be
Now he's headed for a heart all closed up
While she's staring at a sky full of distrust
Sharing secrets while keeping their heads strong
Always reminded that love recreates bonds
