“Strange Ways” is one of multiple examples (see “Cold Gin) where Ace Frehley was intended to sing lead, but was tossed to someone else (this time Peter) to sing because of Ace’s lack of confidence in singing. Ace did not sing lead on a track until 1977’s "Shock Me”.
Strange Ways was performed only...
[Verse 1]
Well, it's a strange way
The way you look at me
And it's a hard time
Time you been givin' me
Come on and open up
Open up to me
So you can realize
That I could set you free
[Chorus]
Strange ways, twisted days
Strange ways, twisted days
[Verse 2]
Well, it's a strange place
That you've been livin' in
And it's a strange line
You've been deliverin'
I think I like it
But I'm not really sure
Don't wanna fight it
Just wanna feel some more
[Chorus]
Strange ways, twisted days
Strange ways, twisted days
[Guitar solo]
[Outro]
Strange ways, twisted days
Strange ways, twisted days
