Straight Outta Melbourne Lyrics

[Intro]
Straight Outta Melbourne
It's LFiers, runnin' it up

[Verse 1]
I be here to be talkin' about a little city that I've been livin' in for years
But I gotta bring an introduction in, so my name is LFiers
How you doin'? And welcome, I'm comin' out of Melbourne, and I be seldom sleepin'
'Cause I'm livin' every day and every minute for the music 'cause I'm rappin' and makin' them beats, man
Straight out of Doveton, and that is the place I grew up in
I loved it, especially when I was like 10 or 11, a youngen
And good times, jumpin' and runnin' amok on our bikes
Get 'em out up in thе mornin', and I be lovin' to call in all my friends to ride with mе
Rippin' up the dirt, and hurtin' won't stop us, come glide with me, fly with me
Throughout the air, and we never be carin' whatever the time would be
Whenever anyone gave us a dare, then we divin' in
Never givin' a damn about havin' a bad landin' or dyin' as kids
And I be lovin' to be testin' my fate straight after breakfast
Just like Ice-T said, we were reckless
But it didn't really matter 'bout whoever did the maddest or the baddest or the phattest of the wickedest jumps
All that matters is we had a good time, man, I really do miss bein' a kid and bein' young

[Hook]
I'm straight out of Melbourne, straight out of Australia
Go and get the canvas ready, let me paint you a picture
Go and get the cameras ready, I'm the director
Go and get the track ready, and I'll show you a car
I got unlimited, pretty much infinite, styles I can utilise
I'm bringin' in similes and metaphors and analogies out of my mind
If I really think about it, I been a fan of this for more than half of my life
I'm never gonna be stoppin' 'cause I be lovin' all the elements, the art, the rhymes

[Verse 2]
That was a little bit about a little kid up in the city of Melbourne, see
That kid was me, preteen, yes, Australia welcomed me
And my family, as we leave my country of Hungary to go overseas
Landin' in Melbourne City and hittin' the C.B.D
This was VHS era, way before even DVDs
LCD TV screens in full HD, or PS3s
No, not even mp3s or CDs, 'cause these were the days of the tape cassettes
Back when smokin' was cool and people had crazy hair
Spandex was in, Ninja Turtles weren't even famous yet
Fast forward it to a few years later to when I became a raging teenager
And I got really angry at everybody and everything in my way
And I became a criminal, I did a lot of bad things and I lost my way, man
By the time high school ended, I almost went insane, man
I got so sick of my friends and the lyin', denyin' they lyin' when I find 'em
Hidin' behind the eyes of liars, they find it it surprisin' that I analysed 'em
And I figured out that they were doggin' me and they were stealin' my stuff and they sell it for drugs
It's funny how money can turn a friend into a punk
Quicker than even a bullet can be comin' out when you're unloadin' a gun
But I gotta be takin' the good and also all the bad together, life is unpredictable just like the weather
Better never ever let the past get you fed up, just focus on makin' your future better

[Verse 3]
I went through a lot of bad things back then, a lot more than even anyone knows
Good times turned to bad, and many friends became foes
I needed to vent all my anger somehow, so I got myself a psychologist
And it's name is Hip-Hop, yeah, that's who I'm rockin' with
I studied it for many many years and I learned who all of the kings were
I listened to many pioneers, but for me, Ice-T was first
That I heard, just murdered with words, it's absurd
Thirst for more of this awesomeness needed to be quenched quickly
Man, I need to be served, and I'm gonna make it a steady diet, and swiftly
And almost two decades later, it is still with me
Like a bowling ball to the face with a catapult, that's how hard it hit me
Hip-Hop changed my life, from Krayzie Bone to Bizzy
Ice Cube, Ice T, and Eazy-E, Big L, Tupac, Biggie
Eminem made me step up my lyrics, Bone Thugs more speedy
So much emcees I could just name, honestly, I could just go on for days
But I'll save it since I'm on the sixteenth bar, I could go on for ages

[Verse 4]
Here's another few that influenced me in my rap
R.A. The Rugged Man, Onyx, Big Pun, and Vinnie Paz
Hopsin, Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, and Grandmaster Caz
Immortal Technique, and Lowkey, and Grandmaster Flash
The Wu-Tang Clan, Method Man, and Redman
Twista, DMX, Busta Rhymes, MC Ren, man
Ice Cube, Chino XL, Necro, and ILL Bill
Hilltop Hoods, Bias B, and yes, Big L's skills
