Storm Clouds

Water was dodging rocks in the stream bed
The wind was rising up slow
Getting ready to bend the trees at the end of the road
Where the storm clouds were growing
We stood there and watched and waited for the rain
The dust swirling round people running in vain
And the thunder rolling in like a midnight train
I said the stars' eyes tonight won't be opening
Not while these storm clouds are growing

We were skin popping laughter

But the people we found could not make a sound
It seems that they'd been through that door
