[Verse 1: RO-B. Z.]
Began this shit at 17, bitch, I ain’t stopping now
Say you wield the axe? Oh, please, you cannot cut me down
Z untouchable like Jay, the way I run the town
Nobody finna ‘jack my grind ‘till I buy my mom a house
Off this rapping shit, what Carti say? I been woke up like this
Always knew this was the path I wanted since I was a kid
Piano keys and music sheets the background to my hits
Now your favorite finna work with me, your jealousy ain’t slick
Go turn down your pipe, you ain’t devoted as I
Man, I’ve been in homeless shelters ‘cause my passion rubbed awry
Turned my back on the church so I would make this shit my life
‘Cause I won’t worship a God that demands devotion over the right
To question why I should suppress my love of the genre
Give a fuck what you believe, I’mma still rise above ya
Oh, you think because you got a mic, that you can face the thunder?
We can get ready to rumble like a fight at No Jumper
[Chorus: RO-B. Z.]
Nobody stop me now
Nobody stop me now
I’mma die for what I write, fuck a hater or a clown
Nobody finna ‘jack my grind ‘till I buy my mom a house
Nobody stop me now
Nobody stop me now
I’mma die for what I write, fuck a hater or a clown
Nobody finna ‘jack my grind ‘till I buy my mom a house, bitch
[Verse 2: Snooze!, RO-B. Z.]
You can’t stop me now, but in 2 minutes, maybe
You let my pride down, smoking chiefs without the KC
Or Jamie, can you believe no one wanna face me?
They try to stop me, but I walk in rooms, and then they play me (Yeah)
Bitch, do you love me?
I hold me a gun to the back of my waist, uh (Nah)
She said, he said, “Gimme a verse”
Drop that shit, don’t gimme a taste, uh (Yeah)
I deserve it all, you say shit, say it to my face
You never stopping me, and if you do, then I was fucking laced
I feel unbreakable, irreplaceable, underpaid, yuh
Put my pride in nothing, fuck all them but don’t get laid or sumn
And they all try to prove I’ll never make it and then say nun
I ain’t stopping ‘till a million dollars is my daily funds
They ain’t see potential ‘till I’m on a fucking track with Z
Buy my mom a crib, but she’ll get sick of ‘em right after 3
I don’t fuck with the features, ‘cause they usually sound like ass to me (Son of a bitch!)
Play the chorus one more time, they stay attacking me
[Chorus: RO-B.
[Verse 3: RO-B. Z.]
I began this shit from YouTube and a Guinness World Record
“Most Words In A Hit Song”, Rap God by Marshall Mathers
I hit play on the fast verse, from that moment, I was tethered
I knew from that point on, I’d fast-track to being a rapper
2018, CDTV made quick rap lists
Every vid that he was dropping, I would binge that shit
Everything I knew ‘bout hip-hop, I learned all of that from him
And eventually, that led me on to discovering Crypt
Looked up “how to rap fast” and his vid was the first result
Example ‘bout a gaming chair before he showed me the ropes
I was roped in, began watching reactions and rap videos
Then the first song I discovered from him was “Four Horse-
-Men”, that song put me on to the YouTube scene at large
You can judge, but without Crypt, I might have never discovered Quad
Without Crypt, I would have never discovered Samad
And I never would have built the community that I have now in my arms
Understand, I was a kid trying to escape religious trauma
Coming off a summer school that purported Christian love
It was either get judged by the Pharisees or become one
Heavy choice for a kid writing raps on fanfiction.com, but fuck it
This my rebellion against a system that was hurting me
Gratitude toward a community that gave worth to me
Adoration for a genre that was built to fight the normalcy
Of systems of oppression meant to subjugate the poor and weak
It’s what 2Pac said about the rose that grew from concrete
How it defied the laws of nature and learned to walk on its own with no feet
We all come from different places, all with different modes of struggling
But it’s your choice alone to break what’s weighing down your wings
I choose to be free, give a fuck ‘bout what a hater say
My sins between me and God, got a problem? Say it to my face
Nothing’s gonna stop me from building my platform where I say
The greatest rapper of my generation can come from the strangest place
Nobody stop me now
