[Monologue]
So, Stolen Love, where do I begin, this one is actually difficult for me to talk about because looking back I can say that I'm not very proud of the decisions that I was making at this point in my life, I was kinda making a mess out of things. But, this was originally I think a candidate to be the first song on the album because this relationship really sets the table for the stories that are to come throughout the entire album. And obviously it's a song about pursuing forbidden love or love that you should not pursue and really disregarding the human wreckage that's gonna come out of that. And, um, you know inevitably that's, that's what did happen. And um, we made a version of this song in the mountains that I really loved and it was quite a bit sadder, more contemplative, and I think it captured a different emotional angle, but the version we've included here on the album was cut in London and it leans really into the moment of, of chasing that and just wanting that so badly. It's just kinda of, um, pure desire, I guess, so that's this version of Stolen Love, here you go
