What inspired the song?

My relationship had just ended and I was kind of frustrated with the guy. Looking back at the things that bothered me about him and our relationship. But at the same time, I missed him and I missed our time together and I thought it was an interesting song idea. I started writing it on my piano at h...

How did the song come together?

I wrote some verse and chorus ideas for this song and then I texted Jason Reeves asking him if he wanted to help me finish it and he said yes. So we sent voice memos back-and-forth to each other, tweaking the melody and lyrics a bit. Then later that week he came over and we wrote the bridge together...

What was the process of making the song like?

This was the last song to be recorded for the record because I wrote it in the midst of the recording process.
