Spring Time Rain

The water's no use
There's no sense trying anymore
Burgundy wine bottle
Sits on my front porch

My neighbor sings so sweet
She smiles just the same
A memory of me and you
Sitting spring time rain

For if I have fallen
Lay me by your side
Or throw me into the river
Let the birds pick me dry
