“Spirit” is the first track off of Ghost’s third LP, Meliora. It can best be described as a love song to the mind-altering effects of the green liquid, absinthe. The substance, made from worm-wood, has been used for thousands of years as both a spiritual and creative aide.

[Chorus: Papa Emeritus III]
Spirit, Absinthe
Spirit, Absinthe
[Verse 2: Papa Emeritus III]
Seven seals
Devilish creatures trumpets the end of time
Cloven Hooves
Anti-Saint wormwood catapulting your mind
Into the jaws of death
[Chorus: Papa Emeritus III]
Spirit, Absinthe
Spirit, Absinthe
[Guitar Solo: Nameless Ghoul (Fire & Aether)]
[Verse 3: Papa Emeritus III]
There's no return
From this excursion of possibilities
You're at the seventh gate
[Chorus: Papa Emeritus III]
Spirit, Absinthe
Spirit, Absinthe
[Outro: Papa Emeritus III]
Let none of this earth inherit
This vision of my spirit
