into the gently shifting mirrors of water.

where the high moon burns like an unspent coin
buried in the dark blue pocket of night.
I wish I could reach into that pocket,
and feed the burning coin into a slot
and melt these distances.

I'd be speaking to you,
from where the quiet water,
holds the gentlе light,
from where the uncrossеd bridges
echo in the soft passages of water,
at the center of this world.
