I'm leaving today
To be far away
From this stupid mundane life
All these people wanna fight over nothing

They told me push through it

But I have had enough shit

From people who sip on their coffee at 5pm
(Seriously who drinks coffee at 5pm?)

Do you think the city's nice?
Probably not but it would suffice
As a replacement for treelines and train tracks and blaring speakers down the road

I'm tired of cycles
Where I keep on doing the
Same three things every day
To keep myself from falling asleep

I think it'd be neat

To be somewhere where it's winter every day of the year
Where the skyline is lit up with various headlights and the city never sleeps
I'll be somewhere that people's opinions are not shoved down my throat
Somewhere, somewhere that I can call home

Sweaters and a warm cup of tea
Two computers, a bedroom, and a TV
Just two kids who have no experience being on their own
But at least they're together, at least they're together and not alone

Their feelings are valid and no one can choose

The world is an oyster and they are the pearls

They're somewhere where they feel safe
Somewhere where freedom is within their own reach
A place where the city never sleeps, but they finally can

At least there's a sense of mutual respect
