This early acoustic demo of 2003 album Earthquake Glue’s track “Dirty Water” was likely recorded in early 2002, before the October 2002 session that yielded the faster demo on Edison’s Demos. This version was released in 2015 on the Suitcase Four box set, under the fake band name Average Roger.
[Verse 1]
Messed me up, scratch liquid
Field tested in dirty water
Fell asleep and bought a boat
Crossed my heart not to return
Watch it burn in dirty water
All of it
[Verse 2]
Flag torn, last rations
Still busting dirty water
Found a tree and hitched me up
Brought me down to all I had done
Wouldn't float, dirty water
None of it
