What inspired the track?
To be honest, it was just my melodies. What happens is, in the studio where I go, we pick a beat, I go on the beat, do a little freestyle, and then I pick the melodies from the freestyle, and then I write the lyrics over it. My brother does not write any of my lyrics, I write my own stuff.
How did you link up with Yung Shad and ForeignGotEm?
So what happens is they send beats to my email, and we go to the studio and they pick it. So, we went through that book of beats and that was the perfect one. When a beat comes on, it’s like a melody automatically pops up in my head. It’s crazy.
What was the recording process like?
I took three takes. It’s three or four takes. We go through each of those takes and we grab stuff. Let’s say I said something, and then I’ll be like okay, erase that, let me get the melody, and then I’ll be like, loop it, then I just start writing.
When did you start making music?
2018, October. And I went to this studio called New Era, and my brother and everybody. And they said, “Hey, BSlime, go do a freestyle real quick”, and I did and it was like, “Bro, you hard”, and I’m like, “I was just playing.” They’re like, “No, bro, you should really take this serious”, and I’m lik...
