Sleeping Giant

A sleeping giant is so hard to see
By the flame of the flickering light
When all we love is fading fast
How terrible is the night

Sleeping giant

In the darkness of the outer void
Where the great black goat awaits
Polar dragon and the Southern Cross
Alpha draconis of pyramids lost

A sleeping giant can find no rest
It’s seeking weakness it wants to come in
So many things been here and gone
Some had names and some grew cold

There too is the pain
While nights shadows wait
And the mountain fades
Never to see again
Dark shadows fall
In the valley of fear

Strange sight and sound
A sleeping giant is near
And even now I can hear
The wolves howling my name
While nights shadows wait
Sleeping giant awakes!
