I get that in some ways this is a superpower
While the whole world's asleep I work an extra 8 hours
But surviving on fumes is like walking a balance beam
Losing even a few minutes, make the day more challenging
Even climbing a flight of steps can be physically exhausting
It feels like every single day I'm realizing that I lost things
Simply absentminded from the sleep that I lack
Can you imagine what it's like feeling sharp as a tack
While you struggle over basic shit, tiny, little mistakes?
Nothing important, but it still leads to a mental break
Because you need a mental break from life's hostilities
Everyday working to the max of your abilities
People always seems amazed ‘cause my struggle isn't visible
I get tiny cuts on my eyes that are invisible
Even when I disconnect and I go on vacation
I'm wide awake the entire night with random anticipation
If there's a God of Sleep then I must not be pleasing her
Shit, nights on Elm Street seem far fucking easier
Constant neck and back aches, neverending migraines
