What inspired the song?
We had studio time booked, and we were looking for one more song that you could turn up when you wanted to drink and have a good time. So we wrote this one maybe 2 weeks before we went it to cut and I knew when we wrote it that I wanted to cut it.
How did the song come together?
Jessi Jo had “Six Pack State of Mind” written down in her phone notes and we loved it. So we started counting to six and listing things that happen when you drink a six pack, or multiple six packs and had fun with it.
What was the process of making the song like?
I think being in the studio is my favorite part of what we do. So we went in and Jonathan Singleton produced it and we felt like we needed somebody to sing on it with me since it was a party vibe.
