You had to find someone naive
To keep you at your peak

But it was real to me

Did you tell all your friends about
How you pushed yourself in me

How you work for Disney
But I remember the high school boy
Who held my wrists down easily

I see that it makes sense to believe that they don't have feelings
I understand that lurch of fear when you cross to the other side of the street

I wish for Prince Charming
But I can't find that six year old
Who still believed in those things
