Sequoia Throne

There is a hidden vault awaiting the bravest of spelunkers to uncover secrets of the past
Inside is something so sacred and unique it was worshipped as a deity
I learned of it in History class previous to its revealing

They call it the Sequoia Throne
A leisure only offered to the wealthiest of souls
A chair for kings with wooden bones
That offers altered motives and beliefs to let it’s evil plans unfold

It happened to my father once
Swept him clean right off his feet
Now he offers birdhouses as sacrifice to satiate its gluttonous needs

The throne pardons all sins and answers prayers at a whim
If you only knew the consequences of all that you unknowingly committed

Start out with a plague of flies
Donkey teeth for everyone
Next is leeches in your bedsheets
And drugs in every shot of rum

Stay ignorant of growing trends
Art isn’t where the money is
Heart is where the art lives
Struggle not to live bent
Live to be content and write a passage at my passing
Sign your name in blood
If all you have is love for everything you’re crafting

Lately I’ve been answering all the echoes that never made it
Give a little something to someone to make their lives a little less fucked
Figuratively tits up
Literally shit’s tough
Life is nothing less bruh
Make a passive passing if they test ya
