This track, which appears on the deluxe and vinyl editions of The Valley, is about the Aokigahara forest (also known as the Sea of Trees) in Japan, to which the forest is well-known for the many suicides committed in it.
[Verse 1]
Frozen fields of misery, I walk you once again
When I said hell had frozen over, this is what I meant
My voice will never escape, I've craved this moment for so long
Don't come look for me, so I can truly die alone
[Chorus]
Don't come look for me
So I can truly die alone
[Verse 2]
This noose never fit so well, I'm finally coming home
Don't come look for me, so I can truly die alone
[Chorus]
Don't come look for me
So I can truly die alone
[Post-Chorus]
I smell the stench of my grave
And it never smelt so sweet
[Bridge]
As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I climb the highest tree, so I am sure to snap my neck
[Guitar Solo]
[Verse 3]
As I sit upon the branch I almost shed a tear
But there's no turning back now, death I shall not fear
Look through my eyes, then you'll understand the path I've chose
Trust me when I say you've never felt a heart this cold
[Chorus]
Don't come look for me
So I can truly die alone
[Post-Chorus]
I smell the stench of my grave
And it never smelt so sweet
[Outro]
I have walked through the valley of the shadow of death
Forever I remain there with a broken neck
