“Scream!” was written in a parking lot in Seattle while the Misfits were on tour. The band had learned that director Wes Craven was interested in using Misfits songs for his film Wishmaster, but instead, they decided to submit a song for the upcoming Scream 2.
[Intro: Michale Graves, Graves & Jerry Only]
Whoa-oh-oh
Whoa-ah-oh
Whoa-oh-oh
Scre-ee-eam
[Verse: Graves, Graves & Only, Only]
A chill runs up your spine
And crawls into your brain
The freezing touch of fear
It's driving me insane
Although you try to fight
Dragged from the (Ohhhh)
Silence where you hide (Ohhhh)
[Refrain: Graves]
'Til you scream
'Til you scream
[Verse: Graves, Graves & Only, Only]
A chill runs up your spine
And crawls into your brain
The freezing touch of fear
It's driving me insane
Although you try to fight
Dragged from the (Ohhhh)
Silence where you hide (Ohhhh)
[Refrain: Graves]
'Til you scream
'Til you scream
Scream
I can't wait to hear you scream
[Bridge: Graves]
It's driving me insane
Although you try to fight
Dragged from the (Ohhhh)
Silence where you hide (Ohhhh)
[Refrain: Graves, Only]
'Til you scream
Scream (Scream, scream)
[Outro: Graves, Graves & Only]
I can't wait to hear you
I can't wait to hear you
Scream
I can't wait to hear you
I can't wait to hear you
