Santa Rosa Chapter I

I can start by saying this:

My father was born in El Centro
One of the most southern cities in California
Son of Albert
Who was stationed around the world in the navy

California has always been a place
Where people and memories come to settle
We're called “The Golden State” because of the 49ers
The endless sunshine
And the promise of easy living in California
Made it a Mecca for a state of mind

But what makes California a state of mind
Or someone Californian?
People come from everywhere
Become Californians
And make it their own
I was raised here and here is some of my story.
