I was hoping, when I met her and told her my heart was hers
She could make me a better man, but I made both of us worse
She's always out with the fellas, and I'm forever green
I don't know why I'm so jealous and say things I don't mean

So she took a Greyhound bus back home for the holidays
To be with her East Coast family 900 miles away
I think she can see we're not gonna be okay
