Rose-tinted glasses

It's very strange indeed
How the world can be so mean
I used to be deceived
By the fields and the willow trees

These blue eyes were kaleidoscopes

Through the clouds and this wall of smoke
But I guess at the same time
Looking through this glass would make me blind

My vision's clear now
Too afraid to see the world
