If I let you really know me
Would you love me like you do?
Would you smile, and then disown me
Leave me lonely, lost, and doomed

You might have the best intentions now
But you haven't got a clue
I can’t risk the latter falling, further, I don’t trust you

Showed you every buried bone

You might barely grasp
The what, where, when
But you’d never guess just who

But, how come, it’s not enough?
Is it to wake up just enough to show
The rest of me is up to snuff

But maybe I should’ve guessed you’d be suspicious
Why I’m too small for my britches
