“Red Light” is the second single from 2017’s “My Love”, which is the follow-up EP to Ria Mae’s self-titled 2015 album, her first for Sony Music Canada.
The song holds pain in the lyrics, with haunting vocals showing a lot of hurt, but the production features a consistent beat and catchy chorus.
Red light
Hoping it will change your mind
Give me just one more night
More time
Sitting at a red light
Practicing your goodbyes
Getting your words just right
For the last time
Who's gonna run through your head
Who's gonna lie in your bed
Are they gonna make you happy?
Make you forget?
Erase everything that we had
Take back every word that we said
Undo everything that we did
That we did
That we did
Can't let you go
It's like a bad dream
When you tell me
You don't love me no more
Ain't enough streets lights in this city
To find our way home
It's a bad dream
You don't want me and I
Can't let you go
You don't love me no more
No more
Red wine. Midnight. Oh I-
Need your body close to mine
Trying to remember what it feels like, feels like
Running out of patience, patience
Trynna think of something that will save us
(you're) holding it all in your hands
Breaking my heart cause I-
Can't let you go
It's like a bad dream
When you tell me
You don't love me no more
Ain't enough streets lights in this city
To find our way home
It's a bad dream
You don't want me and I
Can't let you go
You don't love me no more
No more
You don't love me no more
No more
Who's gonna run through your head
Who's gonna lie in your bed
Are they gonna make you happy?
Make you forget?
Can't let you go
It's like a bad dream
When you tell me
You don't love me no more
Ain't enough street lights in this city
To find our way home
It's a bad dream
You don't want me and I
Can't let you go
You don't love me no more, no more
You don't love me no more
No more (2x)
