So-called heirs of God, maximal suffering is needed
To permeate the roots of our condition of shame
Is that why we drift into ruin like were blind?
Is this the real curse, we just fumble to the end?

How can we value life when each born new lessens that of all those born before it?
For each disaster we allow but a respite

If not by force, then the consumption will never end
When left unabated, we will never self regulate
We've already spent centuries arguing the toss over nothing
And all we do is ask questions and nothing ever gets done

Mindless over-valuation of the importance of our lives
A smothering shroud on our planet, until we die
These dogmatic idealogues spewing bile and wasting time
Claiming the ground beneath you, it's time to act because if you don't
