Making every train of thought a parade
I treasure all our time
Knowing friends are always so hard to find

Watching every spoken word come to life
Just pushing plans aside
Blowing time and rings of smoke in the air

And trading tales over tea until dawn
And spending nights on the same boulevard

Stolen from a scene I once used to know
Those treasures I seek now
Last as long as candlelight in the rain
